The lightroom on the mountain. The world-famous American artist James Turrell designed a Lightroom where sky and earth seem to encounter one another froma new point of view in the high alpine landscape of Lech. The artist’s light room are soft compositions that enable visual and emotional experiences for the visitors and the Skyspace Lech embodies this idea. James Turrell aims to make individuals aware of how we perceive the world. In collaboration with the gallery Häusler Contemporary, the association Horizon Field succeeded in winning James Turrell for the Skyspace-Lech. Deeply inpressed by the high mountain landscape, the artist conceptualized the Skyspace-Lech that is specifically designed for this location in the autumn of 2014. The association Horizon Field – Kunstverein Vorarlberg has realized this art project with the help of many enthusiastic supporters.
